A robber has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for robbing three British tourists and stabbing a policeman.
Thabo Meveka (21) was found guilty of robbery and assault in the Durban Regional Court on Tuesday. On August 11 this year, Meveka and two accomplices held up a British tourist and his wife and daughter at knife-point outside a restaurant in the Point area.
Since the victims were tourists, police and court staff speeded up proceedings. - Own Correspondent
