Spunky Cherise deserves it

Johannesburg: I would like Cherise Makabale from Zambia to win Big Brother Africa on Sunday.
Currently top of the popularity polls, the Zambian budding businesswoman has shown great spunk, courage, humour, patience and endurance through the 106 days of the reality show which was described as the African Union of TV.
She deserves to take the grand prize of $100 000 for playing the game best across the board. Cherise seldom gave in to jealousies, emotions, anger or frustration. Instead, she single-mindedly tackled the game, giving her all to each task. She also managed to be a friend and mother-figure to almost all the housemates.
However, I think Gaetano Kegwa from Uganda will probably walk away with the prize. Perhaps this is because he is a man, and men who are fans of the show may prefer to see another guy win. This may seem petty, though, so perhaps he will win rather because he drew so much attention when he was sent to Britain in the Big Brother UK slot - and the limelight never really left him after that. But perhaps the more fair reason he may win is that he, too, has played the game to the full. So, for me, it's a toss-up between Cherise and Gaetano ... but watch Tanzania's Mwisho Mwampamba whip the prize out from under their noses!
