JOHANNESBURG: The South African national under-20 team (Amajita) are in camp preparing for Saturday's African Youth Championship qualifying match against Lesotho at the Dobsonville Stadium. Kick-off is at 3pm.

Amajita played a practice match against Namibia on Tuesday at the Germiston Stadium, which they won 2-1.

Coach Khabo Zondo said everything was going well in the camp and the players were looking forward to a tough match against good opposition.

"The camp has been good for us, especially as it's our first one and we managed a win against Namibia. We are aware of the tough challenge ahead but the players are responding well enough.

"As you can imagine, it is very difficult to get players to adapt to your style of play in a short period of time," said Zondo.

He said preparations for this weekend's encounter were on track and he is happy that none of the players picked up any injuries in the match against Namibia. The non-availability of some players had not disrupted preparations.

The South Africa versus Lesotho second leg encounter will be played in Maseru next month. - Sapa
