Actor apologises to journalists

MUMBAI: Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan apologised to Indian journalists yesterday after photographers were beaten by guards outside his home.

Guards kicked and punched photographers to clear the way for a car carrying actor Abhishek Bachchan and his wife, Aishwarya Rai, to a post-wedding ritual on Saturday.

Hundreds of fans jostled with photographers and reporters on the streets outside the Bachchan home during the wedding ceremony on Friday. - Reuters
