$2m to hush 'love child'

Tiger in talks to buy mistress's silence

A WOMAN who allegedly had Tiger Woods's love child was said last night to be negotiating £2million (R24m) hush money from the scandal-plagued golfer.

Theresa Rogers confided to a friend that she believed Woods was the father of her six-year-old daughter, according to a US report

Now the 48-year-old is said to have hired Los Angeles celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her in talks with the golfer's representatives.

The lawyer is already thought to have negotiated a £3million deal for another of Woods's alleged mistresses, 34-year-old New York club promoter Rachel Uchitel, in return for her silence.

Rogers, a fitness fanatic of Wellington, Florida, was said to have been having an affair with a Serbian basketball player as well at the time her baby was born.

Quoting sources close to Rogers, RadarOnline website said she was actively trying to have a baby by the golf star with the blessing of her fourth husband, clothing designer Wayne Rogers, who was unable to get her pregnant.

There does not appear to be any proof that the daughter Rogers had between late 2003 and early 2004 was the result of her alleged relationship with Woods.

The girl appeared Caucasian and was reportedly never given a DNA paternity test.

Rogers emerged earlier this week as the latest and oldest of the golfer's alleged 11 lovers.

She reportedly had a five-year relationship with Woods dating from before his 2004 marriage to Swedish wife Elin Nordegren. Rogers has not commented publicly on the love child claims, but RadarOnline said she had boasted to friends about the relationship.

"Theresa was bragging about her affair with Tiger last week. She wasn't making a secret of it," said a source.

Meanwhile Woods's first girlfriend described how he ended their three-year relationship with a curt note, and demanded back a necklace he had given her.

Dina Parr, 34, who is now married with three children, said she cried for two days after receiving the note at a California tournament.

It said: "Please mail my necklace that I gave to you when you get back home. Don't show up at the tournament tomorrow because you are just not welcome."

However she said that six months later he wrote to apologise for his behaviour.

There was one piece of good news for Woods yesterday when he was voted Athlete of the Decade by the Associated Press, which ignored his "transgressions" to focus on him as the world's best golfer.

Pop singer Jessica Simpson has denied reports linking her to Woods. Star magazine said the couple exchanged e-mails after meeting at a golf tournament in the summer. But Simpson said on Twitter: "The Shocking Inside Story is (insert drumroll) A lie!" - Daily Mail
