Three people died and 13 were injured when a taxi overturned on the R102 near Avoca Hills, Durban North on Monday, paramedics said.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said two people had to be cut out of the wreckage using the Jaws-of-Life.
The two were critically injured, four were seriously injured and seven passengers had a minor injuries.
The injured had been taken to various hospitals, he said.
